Headai, Edunation and We+, in cooperation with SAMK and City of Pori, have teamed up to build an AI & Robotics ecosystem in Pori. We’re happy to announce that also Crazy Town will be joining this initiative by launching a community-driven coworking space in city center of Pori in autumn 2018.

AI & Robotics ecosystem is a public-private partnership that brings talent, jobs, startups and growth into the region. Ecosystem joins formal education, targeted corporate training, talent forecasting and AI in empowered education in a context of new business openings. Initiative was started by Harri Ketamo from Headai, an award-winning Finnish AI startup, and entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka.
ECOSYSTEM WELCOMES ALL WHO WANT TO GO FURTHER TOGETHER RATHER THAN ALONE
For startups, the ecosystem brings a full-stack of growth services. Freelancers and experts become part of an active community with partnership and customer opportunities. Established companies can utilize the ecosystem for R&D activities and startup cooperation. Everyone gains new skills, networks and access to global resources and talents.
AI & ROBOTICS ECOSYSTEM COWORKING SPACE BY CRAZY TOWN OPENS IN AUTUMN 2018
Our upcoming coworking community will be a collaborative environment for talents and businesses, helping to make use of AI & robotics opportunities. It’s a place to do meaningful work – interact, try out and learn new things.
Location will feature a fully-equipped environment for companies of all sizes, including desks and team rooms, event space and meeting rooms. All members in Pori can use more than fifty Crazy Town and We+ locations in Finland, China and elsewhere in the world.
As one of the founding companies, Headai is the first company moving in. When full, the space is expected to house around seventy companies. It should be noted that the coworking community is not just for AI or robotics-themed companies – everyone interested in going further together rather than alone can join. ”We want the community space to be a place where technology, business and arts & culture meet,” says Harri Ketamo of Headai.
Member applications for new tenants at the coworking community are expected to start in August. Sign up on the mailing list to get updates.

In addition to SAMK and City of Pori, the following companies are part of the ecosystem launch
- Headai: One of the founders of the initiative. Headai is developing a cognitive AI that learns the meanings of texts written in natural language. Headai brings AI-driven predictive analytics and AI-generated education into ecosystem.
- Edunation: Access to international talents.
- We+: Provides Pori members access to more than fifty coworking locations in Helsinki, China and the world.
- Crazy Town: Coworking community space operator. Runs several facilitated collaborative locations across Finland with almost 200 growth-oriented member companies and hundreds of annual events in total.
